My wife and I were thrilled to learn of your willingness to be a donor on behalf of our family. Our now 2.5 year old daughter has taught us the capacity of our hearts and put life in its proper perspective, where there is nothing close in significance to family.

We were surprised when secondary infertility entered our plans of having a sibling for our darling. We have endured so much heartache over the last two years and it’s been heartbreaking with a roller coaster ride of emotions. We both desperately wanted a sibling for our daughter and turned with trepidation to the egg donor option.

My wife and I agreed that we had a few important concerns, but would not seek something that did not exist. We were pleased with the sincere interest Nancy Block showed toward educating us and meeting our expectations, while genuinely caring for the donors. When we saw your profile, it seemed like the perfect match for our criteria. My wife’s primary concerns were finding a woman whose coloring, features and family background were similar to her own. My highest priority was finding someone whose background would suggest honesty, intelligence and a good family health history. Your response to the question of what motivated you to participate in this program was very touching and likely a result of your strong family upbringing.

Perhaps you were influenced by your large family and the obvious love your parents feel toward children. Our daughter is my world and the biggest compliment I can extend is to hope she grows up with the same character and compassion for others as you display.
